Morning visitor. The goldfinch is one of those tiny creatures that is amazing to watch. They change colour from one season to the next. You might think they were a different type of bird in the winter. Their drab colouring in the winter makes them almost invisible when they are in the trees.

Well, after a challenging winter and a really weird spring I think I am ready to spend some time sharing the photos of all my little feathered and furry friends.

This lovely bird is rarely seen in the area around Muskoka Bay.  Every morning that I come to the wharf I see something different than the day before.

Common Grackle

The Red Winged Blackbird and his mate get very angry if you get to close to the nest.
If you get bored the Cormorant will keep your mind busy trying to figure out where it will pop up after the next dive.

Worth A Visit

Back Yard Stuff

5th Annual Chainsaw Carving Event

Worth the trip to some truly amazing work being done while we watched.

Interesting to see a piece of tree trunk gradually transformed
into a piece of furniture with a chainsaw.

Some people were surprised by the prices.
We should be aware of the number of hours that it takes
to create theses pieces as well as the skill required to operate
this type of machinery safely.
